Founded by John Amino in the early 1930s, Amino Brothers Co., Inc., is one of the older construction companies in the state of Kansas. The firm began by dealing in coal, wood, and building materials. The company was able to weather tough economic times brought on by the great depression and in 1939, brother Frank Amino began exploring the excavation business. Frank started with small jobs: digging basements, foundations, and grading driveways. One by one, his brothers joined him and the company began shifting its focus to heavy contracting work.

Present owners Mary J. Sullivan, Denise M. Janes, David V. Seeman, and Albert K. Seeman all got their start at a very young age. Every summer was spent learning more and more about the family-owned business. Whether it was field operations, shop maintenance, or office work, the four of them learned by doing. Summers were spent out on the job sites, and as they got older, after-school hours were spent in the office. 

Over the years our capabilities have increased from primarily mass excavation to a diverse construction company able to meet the demands of today's marketplace.  Today, Amino Brothers specialize in Heavy & Highway Construction, Mass Excavation, Concrete Flat Work, Concrete & Asphalt Paving, Storm, Water & Sanitary Sewer installation. We pride ourselves on safety, service, and quality. Working for building contractors, Development Firms, Engineering Firms, Kansas & Missouri Department of Transportation, Cities, Counties, and Private groups throughout Kansas & Missouri.

In performing work for these different owners, Amino Brothers have been the recipient of numerous ACPA, APWA, KCA Excellence in Partnering, and safety awards that date back to the 1950s. We proudly display these awards and more throughout the hallways of our office as a way to show all employees that their hard work does not go unrecognized.
